Holidays & Celebrations
- Most major holidays celebrated in US or China are discussed and celebrated at Small World, with emphasis on Chinese holidays

- Celebrations include food, music, clothing, decorations, traditions, games and crafts, as appropriate

For Parents
- Performances by the children, in costume, are given twice each year

- Traditional Chinese gifts and foods as well as periodic photos of the children engaging in themed activities are sent home to parents

- Progress reports twice per year

- Weekly overviews of activities and words or phrases of focus so parents can learn along with their children and reinforce the instruction at home

- CDs, books and DVDs to aid in reinforcing classroom experiences

- Parents are welcome to observe encouraged to help!
