Small World in Lafayette and Alameda provides Mandarin immersion, music and international awareness programs to East Bay children and their parents. Small World was founded in May, 2007 by Lynley Sides with the help of a rich advisory board, two amazing Mandarin teachers and some very supportive families.
Teachers
Small World teachers are native Mandarin and fluent English speakers experienced
in teaching Mandarin to young children. They are warm, open, energetic
and relish in the experience of sharing the Mandarin language and Chinese
culture with the children.

Locations
Lafayette Location
Our Lafayette location is in a guest house behind a residence that has
been converted to a pre-school style classroom complete with a small
kitchen, restroom, storage room and playground. The location is inner
Burton Valley.
Alameda Location
Our Alameda location is in the "Children's Art Studio" at 1501 High
St. (at corner of Santa Clara Ave.) The Children's Art Studio also offers
a wide range of art classes for children ages 2 and up. For more information
